AUTUMN COLLECTION - SHOPPING TO COME

I love when the windows of shops say NEW ARRIVALS! much more than when they say SALE...
don't know why...it gives me the feeling of something that is not worth buying; while something NEW is always worth it, right? ;)

Anyway, apparently here they have their own calendar, as August is considered to be Autumn even though I have to say that the weather is still pretty much summerish...and I ADORE AUTUMN! best fashion ever, for me...well...this is just to say that the shops already put out their fall/winter collection and my list "wishIhadahugeclosetsoIcouldbuyallthis" has started...yessss!

PLACES TO BE ♯1: Frau Gerold's Garden

One of my favorite places in Zurich is _unfortunately only in summer :( _ Frau Gerold's Garden.
The name is really appropriate as it is a garden, a real one, with plants all around and pots of flowers and herbs everywhere.

The bar belongs to the grunge area behind Hardbrücke train station, the one with the well-known-in-Zurich FREITAG tower, where exhibitions take place and shops of emerging brands fill in the containers, leit motiv of the area (needless to say that I have found a shop where to buy WONDERFUL bags ;) )

The place is very easy, rare for Zurich (this is probably why we like it so much); you serve yourself at the bar (food and drinks are quite good) and there is no one coming and asking "do you want another one?" even before you finish the first beer!! (very annoying and irritating habit in Zurich bars! grrrr...).

As the place is quite wide, they have a very cool tool for the orders of food. When you order something to eat, at the kitchen they give you this weird techno disc.

When it vibrates, it means your food is ready and you can go and pick it up at the desk. How cool is that?? =D

We really enjoy the place every time we go there; wonder why we don't go more often ;)

Vi lascio con il loro cartello di saluto :)

LET HER IN !!!

We should send this message to all shops that sell bags more expensive than 5.000U.S.$

LET HER IN !!!
She just wants to buy a bag and then she'll leave. Just let her spend her money and the rest of us live in peace!

EXPLORING THE NEIGHBORHOOD =)

What do you do on a sunny-but-not-too-warm Sunday afternoon to fight the stress of a whole week making boxes?...
We decided to go for a walk, knowing that a stroll in the nearby forest would wipe away all tiredness and would avoid us to be stuck with the planning for the next week.
We knew there are some ruins of a castle somewhere close and we decide that could be the good day to find them.
We started following the "Kuhschwanz" path (cow tail)

and that path lead us to the Rumensee and then to the next village and the next lake and from there to the next forest: our goal.

We have found out a huge wonderful forest, with a river flowing just in the middle of it and lots of BBQ places where to spend a nice Sunday with friends.
After choosing our way a bit randomly, we finally found the way to the Wulpe ruins (the steepest way, I'd say...)

Some stairs and some stops after, we finally got to the ruins. They are on the very top of the hill and you really feel the "king of the world" (cit.) once you get there -probably more for the fact that you made it than because you are on top ;)

Anyway, on the way down our next goal was to find this:

There is ALWAYS  a fountain close in Switzerland! and considering we forgot our water and we had been walking for 2 and a half hr., that saved us :)

After drinking and founding a small library on a bench (see here), we decided it was time to go home.

That was an amazing 3 hrs. walk and a great discovery of the neighborhood.
Could do that again =D

Stay tuned
